.We have been in e-commerce for more than 20 years and are one of Europe's leading retailers in optical storage media and computer accessories.
Our company was founded in the early 1990s at a time when burning your own music CDs and video holiday movies was entering many households. CD and DVD blanks with much higher storage capacity replaced floppy disks and Disco Bianco was able to score with a wide range of well-known manufacturers such as Verbatim, Intenso or Maxell right from the start. Initially, a small garage near Aachen served as storage space for the blank DVDs and CDs. As the product range was quickly expanded to include memory sticks, CD/DVD sleeves and printer cartridges, the company grew continuously, hired more staff and moved to a larger building in the district of Düren. Here, administration, sales and logistics are now under one roof and our customers benefit from short distances and flat hierarchies.
For which purpose which optical storage media?
The CD was originally designed in the 1990s to store music.

Also among the optical storage media are blank DVDs. They offer a larger storage capacity than CDs. There are different types of blank DVDs, including DVD+R, DVD-RW. Depending on the type, blank DVDs can store between 4.7 GB and 9 GB of data. They are commonly used for storing and duplicating movies, music videos and software.
Blu-ray blanks are the latest generation of optical media and offer the largest storage capacity of up to 50 GB per disc (there are also double-layer Blu-ray discs with a capacity of up to 100 GB). Blu-ray blanks are mainly used for HD movies, games and other high-definition media content. Similar to blank DVDs, there are different types of blank Blu-ray discs, such as BD-R (once-recordable) and BD-RE (multiple-recordable).
